A missing developmentally disabled woman was found safe this morning, and has been returned to her residence.
Greene County Sheriff Wesley Holt says Izabella Colonna was found safe during the 6 o’clock hour on Fish Hatchery Road. Greeneville Emergency and Rescue Squad Captain Cody Trammel says the woman was found sleeping on a porch. She was about eight miles from her home when found.
The Sheriff’s Department, Rescue Squad and others began their search after she left her home in the 3000 block of McDonald Road. The 26 year old had been last seen at her residence at approximately 11:00 last night. An alert from Greene County 9-1-1 was issued at 3:30 this morning.
Rescue units from Hawkins County also assisted in the search this morning.
