Greeneville Police took a man into custody Wednesday afternoon following two motor vehicle accidents on East Andrew Johnson Highway near Walmart. They say his erratic driving was the reason for both wrecks.
Police say the pickup driven by Marlon Rivera, traveling at a high rate of speed, ran through a red light and crashed into another motorist vehicle. They say he then continued through the intersection and rear-ended another car. There apparently were no serious injuries.
It was determined that Rivera, who gave a Morristown address, was a resident of Honduras and does not have a legal license to operate a motor vehicle. He was charged with reckless endangerment, running a red light, driving without a license and failure to provide insurance. Rivera was then transported to the Greene County Detention Center.
