As News Director, Bobby Rader reported yesterday morning, a head-on collision Friday morning resulted in injuries.
Two people were injured in a head on collision around 5:30 Friday morning at the West Bernard and East Church Street intersection.
According to the Greeneville Police report, a Ford F250 driven by Aurelioano Meza was attempting to turn left onto West Bernard Avenue and failed to yield. The pickup struck a black Silverado driven by Frances Swatzell head on.
Both Swatzell and a passenger, Natalie Finkle, were taken to the hospital by EMS for suspected major injuries.
Emergency personnel were on the scene for over an hour investigating and clearing the accident. Both vehicles were removed from the scene on rollbacks.
In addition to Greeneville Police and Greene County EMS, the Greeneville Emergency and Rescue Squad, and the Greeneville Fire Department also responded.
