The Exchange Club of Greeneville recognized the first “Youth of the Month” for the 2025-2026 school year during their meeting on Tuesday, October 14th.
Sapana Das, daughter of Punam Das and a student at Chuckey-Doak High School, was recognized for her many academic and extracurricular achievements. Ms. Das maintains a 4.51 GPA and is highly active as a student at both Chuckey-Doak and Walter’s State. Sapana is currently serving as the Senior Class President, a student representative on the Greene County School Board, Chapter Vice-President for Chuckey-Doak FFA, Regional Reporter for East TN FFA, and you can hear her on WGRV every Saturday morning on Ag Today.
Throughout her time in high school, Ms. Das has compiled nearly 1,400 total hours of service to her community through organizations like the Greene County Youth Leadership and Greene County Youth Council.
In 2026, she will graduate from both Chuckey-Doak with a high school diploma and Walter’s State with an Associate Degree in Agriculture. Following her dual graduation, Sapana plans to attend the University of Tennessee to pursue a degree in Agriculture, Leadership, Education, and Communications (ALEC) and would like to pursue a career in agricultural education.
