Your safety is our top priority. In an effort to enhance our emergency response capabilities and ensure the well-being of all residents during a fire or other home emergency, the Fire Department is establishing a Community Emergency Assistance Register.
This confidential list is designed to help out first responders identify homes where residents may require extra time or specialized assistance to evacuate safely.
Who Should Register?
We encourage all residents who may face difficulty evacuating their home quickly and without assistance to sign up. This includes, but is not limited to, individuals with:
• Limited Mobility: Use of wheelchairs, walkers, or have conditions that restrict movement.
• Medical Conditions: Dependence on life-sustaining medical equipment or chronic illnesses that could impair rapid movement.
• Sensory/Cognitive Needs: Hearing, visual or cognitive impairments that could prevent recognition of or rapid reaction to a warning alarm.
Registration is entirely voluntary.
