One man was hospitalized, another man was arrested after an argument between the two turned physical early today at the Snapps Ferry Park home they share.
Greeneville Police responded to the 12:19 am 9-1-1 call to a report of a male being stabbed. As officers were responding, dispatch advised that the suspect was attempting to leave the scene. When officers arrived, a felony traffic stop on the vehicle was made and Brian K. Hyde was detained for investigation. Inside the home, officers found Brian T. Wilson with multiple injuries including a laceration on his eye brow and puncture wound on his right hip. Wilson told officers he and Hyde had gotten into an argument and that Hyde struck him in the face, then stabbed him with a sharp object.
Hyde told investigators Wilson forced his way into the home and struck him in the face knocking off his glasses. Hyde then stated he physically fought Wilson back and at one point grabbed a fork and stabbed Wilson with it.
Having determined Hyde was the primary aggressor, he was placed under arrest for aggravated domestic assault and following a records check was also charged with driving on a revoked license.
Wilson was transported to the Johnson City Medical Center by Greene County EMS for further treatment.
