Week 2: Financial and Insurance Readiness
Now is the time to check your insurance policies. Check your coverage, are you under insured? Do you need flood coverage? Flood Insurance policies take 30 days to become effective. http://floodsmart.gov for more information and where to find policies.
Have Photos of your home and belongings before the storm, store them in your water and fire proof safe. Most importantly have photos of all the damages, when safe to do so.
Know your deductible.
When you start cleaning up and rebuilding don’t become a victim to scammers. Unfortunately, people take advantage when you’re going through a life altering event.
