A Bulls Gap couple was arrested Sunday after the husband allegedly entered a motel room and tried to make sexual advances on a guest.
Deputies from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department went to the Super 8 Motel in Bulls Gap around 3:00 Sunday afternoon and spoke with a Texas woman. The victim said that 56-year-old Michael Roark knocked on her door, and she let him in because she thought he was a manager. Instead, Roark reportedly attempted to make advances on her and she told him to stop. About 30 minutes later, Roark returned and apologized for his actions.
When officers arrived, they spoke with 55-year-old Brenda Roark at the front desk who said that her husband had left when she arrived to work around 3:30. During their investigation, deputies found Michael Roark laying down in the laundry room pretending to be asleep. Further investigation revealed that video footage from around the time of the incident had been deleted.
Michael Roark was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, while Brenda Roark is charged with filing a false report. Both will appear in court this morning.
