The Tennessee Highway Patrol worked a crash on West Andrew Johnson Highway Saturday.
According to the preliminary report, a Chevrolet Equinox driven by 78-year-old Lana Mitchell was attempting to turn left from the A.J. Highway to Spring Street. The Equinox failed to yield the right of way of a Dump Truck driven by 69-year-old Virgil LeFevers traveling east.
Mitchell was transported to the Johnson City Medical Center for treatment of injuries. LeFevers was reportedly not injured.
Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
