A structure fire was reported at 2095 Carters Valley Road this morning before 2 AM.
The complainant, who lives next door to the residence, spoke with deputies and said she heard a loud pop. When she looked outside she saw the residence was on fire.
According to the Greene County Sheriff’s report, the property has been abandoned for more than 5 years after the owner moved out. The report also states the residence had no power connected. The United Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire and believes fire was suspicious.
