Although the chance of showers and thunderstorms lingers for the area, the National Weather Service expects calmer weather today and tonight than Wednesday.
Storms locally and across several Northeast Tennessee counties brought flash flooding to many areas. A Flood Advisory issued just after midnight this morning was allowed to expire at 3:15 am.
