The Foster Grandparent Program is currently seeking qualified senior volunteers to assist with tutoring and mentoring activities at local schools in Greeneville and Greene County.
Foster Grandparents are adult volunteers who serve as an extra set of hands in the classroom. They provide students with the comfort of a trusted adult who can support them emotionally and help with academic challenges. These dedicated volunteers not only make a difference in the lives of the children but also assist teachers during moments when several students may be struggling at once.
This program is equally rewarding for the volunteers. It offers seniors an opportunity to stay active and engaged in their community by doing something they love.
Program Benefits
Successful Foster Grandparent candidates receive:
-
An hourly stipend
-
