Greeneville Police Received Reports of both Theft and Vandalism yesterday afternoon.
At around 12:30 Friday officers responded to a residence at North Irish Street. The complainant had arrived at the address to pick up a vehicle that was supposed to be delivered in North Carolina when he noticed the vandalism. According to the report, the front driver’s side tire was flat, and the side door was open which exposed the delivery items.
Additionally, there were boxes of items damaged lying beside the vehicle, and dinnerware had been broken and shattered on the ground in some places. A fire extinguisher from the delivery truck had also been taken and used through the parking lot.
At around 2 pm yesterday, officers responded to a report of motor vehicle theft at Cherry Street in Greeneville.
The victim stated that he had left his 1999 Mazda 5RC parked at Cherry Street for about an hour last Monday when it was stolen.
No suspects had been identified at the time of the report for either offense. Stay tuned to WGRV-WIKQ-WSMG, the Radio Greeneville Facebook Page, or WGRV.com for the latest details.
