The sewer rehabilitation work on North Main Street should be moving to the Spencer Street to Montfort Avenue next week.
Contractors Friday were nearing completion of the sewer rehabilitation on North Main Street between the college and East Church Street. Once this section is finished, traffic control will shift, and the next phase of work will begin above Walters State Community College, progressing north toward Montford Avenue.
North Main Street will be closed from just above the college to Montford Avenue as work will take place within the Spencer Street intersection.
Project Timeline:
This phase of work is expected to take approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
Traffic and Access Information:
Thru traffic will not be permitted during this phase.
Residents and business patrons will maintain access to properties within the work zone.
Emergency vehicles will have access at all times.
Additional Information:
Work will progress in sections to minimize disruption.
The contractor will make every effort to complete the work as quickly as possible.
