A Mosheim woman has been swindled out of $4,500 after a phone call from a man saying he was “Chief of Police” and that she had missed jury duty.
The victim told the Greene County Sheriff’s Department she was told to pay the money or be put in jail.
The woman says she sent the money via a crypto currency kiosk at a local super market.
