The Greene County Commission chose two new commissioners at their meeting on Tuesday.
Jan Kiker is the new commissioner for the Third District, replacing Clifford “Doc” Bryant, who recently passed away. Terry Michael Musick was chosen as the new Seventh District Commissioner, replacing April Harmon Lane, who resigned.
The Commission also approved a resolution requesting revisions to a road project at the Cocke County and Greene County line. The requested revisions are to build four-lane divided highways on US 321 near Bright Hope Road instead of a super two-lane highway.
This request will be sent to legislators in Nashville.
The vote was 16-1, with Jason Cobble voting against and Dale Tucker and Josh Kesterson absent.
The Greene County Commission will next meet on Tuesday, February 22.
