A man has been charged in the stabbing death of his step brother around 9 last night on North Sunset Street in Greeneville.
Isaiah R. Quamere Bowden, whose address is listed as Stevenson Drive in Dover, Delaware, was the fatal victim. Perry Lamont Schoolfield, Jr. of Keelers Mill Road in Dewitt, VA is charged with his murder. Bowden most recently authorities say, had been living in Blountville.
Greeneville Police responded to a report of a stabbing at 157 North Sunset Street, where they found Bowden lying outside the residence with stab wounds to his upper body. He was transported by EMS to Greeneville Community Hospital where police say he died of his injuries.
During the course of their investigation, police say Schoolfield arrived at the hospital emergency room. Hospital security had him in a waiting room when police arrived. He was taken into custody and taken to the Police Department to speak with Detectives before begin charged then transported to the Detention Center without further incident.
