Greeneville City Director of Schools Steve Starnes said last night he does expect teachers in the system to receive the one-time state funded $2,000 bonus.
School systems have until June 1st to notify the state if they intend to accept the bonuses.
The one time $2,000 bonus to all teachers employed in K-12 schools in Tennessee were part of the legislation approved during the special session.
