Light snow is expected across the higher elevations of Southeast Greene County today.
According to the National Weather Service in Morristown, accumulations between a dusting and two inches will be possible across elevations of 2,500 feet or higher. A total of 3 inches will be possible across the highest peaks.
A wintry mix is expected as precipitation returns on Sunday. A short period of snow and freezing rain is possible before a change to rain as temperatures warm through the day.
Strong, gusty winds are expected in the East Tennessee mountains on Sunday night and Monday, with gusts up to 60 mph possible at times.
