Greene County Commissioner Joshua Arrowood recently traveled to Nashville for an interview with the Today Show regarding the law allowing teachers to carry in school.
Arrowood originally did an interview on the law in April of this year with WJHL, which lead him to getting a call from NBC in June for another interview. Arrowood met with NBC on July 27th and shared his thoughts on teachers carrying in school.
He told Radio Greeneville News he is in favor of teachers who go through the 40 hours of training, passing psych evaluations and background checks. He believes since the law meets the approval of the Director of Schools, the Principals, and the Sheriff, teachers should be allowed to carry.
The interview will air this morning on the Today Show, likely around 8:30 AM, barring any changes on today’s date, according to Arrowood. You can also stream live on Peacock.
