Greene County 9-1-1 Director Jerry Bird reported to his board Tuesday the busy 48 hour period during the height of the flood waters in Greene County September 27th and 28th.
Bird says dispatchers took over 810 9-1-1 calls , and another 2,080 police and sheriffs’s department administrative, alarm and service line calls. Dispatchers during that time also worked 4,400 radio transmissions.
Bird also reported ten to twelve dispatchers were on duty during the most extreme hours Friday into Saturday morning.
In other action at the board meeting at the Annex, Tim Ward was reelected Chair , Pam Carpenter and Teddy Lawing Treasurer during the annual election of officers.
