Greene County Administrator of Elections Justin Reaves says the 31,000 plus voters who cast ballots during the Election earlier this month were a part of one of, if not the largest voter turnout in Greene County history.
Reaves confirmed that Greene County was tops in the state in Early Voting turnout. He also reported over 11,000 voters went to the polls locally on the actual Election Day November 5th.
Reaves reported to the Election Commission Board Tuesday that the election process was what he called “one of the smoothest we’ve had”, commending his staff and the over 220 election officials across the county for their work.
Election Commission Board members Tuesday began the process of canvassing the local results during their meeting at the Election Commission office.
