A large fire is burning at the landfill this morning.
Greeneville Fire Department and the Tusculum and Newmansville Volunteer Fire Departments have been called to the scene of a fire at the Greeneville/Greene County Landfill. Limestone, Mosheim, and Debusk have also been called for assistance to shuttle water.
Flames and a large plume of smoke were reported at 7:30 this morning.
Please avoid that area as the roadway is narrow and multiple agencies will be responding.
