The Greeneville City Schools Board of Education will consider joining a lawsuit against insulin manufacturers during its meeting this evening at the Greene Technology Center.
Many school districts around the state and country are joining class-action lawsuits against major manufacturers of insulin, along with pharmacy benefit manufacturers such as Express Scripts.
The lawsuit concerns the sharp increase in insulin prices over the past 25 years, which is increasing costs to school districts to cover employees and family members who are insulin-dependent.
The City Board of Education will meet at 7:15 p.m. tonight immediately following the Joint Board of Education Meeting at the Greene Technology Center.
