July was proclaimed as Gifts For Kids Month, Christmas in July at the county commission meeting.
The official day is July 23 in Greeneville and Greene County. Jancie Painter spoke on donation boxes that will be placed in different locations so people can help donate when they can. Details will be provided soon.
Gifts for Kids will have a lemonade stand at Tractor Supply on July 1st, where people can go and donate money as well as clothing, school appropriate pants, age-appropriate toys, games, books, and more. They will also be working with Casa Express on special discounts for kids this summer.
All businesses are invited to participate and join the great cause. Painter challenged everyone to go do some thing this summer and contribute, donate, and help make a difference in someone’s life.
