Greene County Schools will look to add two days of student learning after depleting its stockpile of weather days following the recent flooding, when the Board of Education meets today at the Greene Technology Center.
The professional development day that was scheduled for Tuesday, November 5 will be converted to a virtual learning day, and the professional development day on Tuesday, January 7 will become a regular student day. If more inclement weather days are needed, Tuesday, February 18 may be converted to a regular student day.
The board will also vote on a construction of a retaining wall at West Greene High School for nearly $180,000, and to clarify that vape offenses do not reset each year, but accumulate within the elementary, middle and high school grade levels.
The Greene County Board of Education meets today at 4:30 p.m. at the Greene Technology Center, ahead of the joint board and city board meetings.
