The cause of a fire on Tuesday on the 1900 block of Fish Pond Road was undetermined.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene around 5:30 PM and spoke with a victim. She said her neighbor alerted her that her camper was on fire. No one was in the home at the time of the fire and the power was off, according to the report.
A deputy spoke with the witness who lives across the road. He said he was out in the yard when he saw the camper on fire. Flames were reportedly coming out of the back window.
Fire investigators were requested. The rear of the camper had heavy fire damage in the bedroom area. The report states evidence indicates the fire moved from the rear of the camper towards the front. The fire allegedly started at or above floor level in the rear of the camper, as the undersides of the floor studs were not damaged by fire.
The cause of the fire was undetermined but reportedly did originate in the bedroom. Several fire departments responded to assist with the fire including Nolichuckey, Tusculum, Camp Creek, and Limestone Fire Departments.
