A woman wanted in North Carolina was taken into custody in Greene County and is additionally facing drug charges.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to Old Forge Campground around 11:30 AM Thursday at the request of Madison County, North Carolina in regard to a woman staying in a tent who had felony warrants from their jurisdiction.
The woman, identified as Jennifer Black-Roberts of Mars Hill, North Carolina, reportedly told deputies there was methamphetamine inside the tent. According to the report, nearly 1.3 grams of meth, a white pill, and three loaded syringes were found.
Black-Roberts was taken into custody for the manufacture, sale, delivery or possession of methamphetamine, simple possession of a schedule 3 drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, and being a fugitive from justice.
