A man was arrested for driving under the influence Sunday morning at the West Pines Road and Belle Road intersection.
The man from Kentucky, Amos Muncie, reportedly crashed at the intersection and his vehicle was found in a field by the Greene County Sheriff’s Department. Muncie stated he was at a wedding and drank too much. He said he got lost, missed a curve, and ended up driving straight into a metal fence. He allegedly went through the fence, destroying it, and ended up in a field.
Deputies conducted sobriety tests, which he reportedly did poorly on. The suspect admitted on a scale from 1 to 10 for intoxication, he was at a 7. He was arrested and transported to the Greene County Detention Center where he consented for a Breathalyzer test. Muncie blew a .184.
