Two people from a Mohawk home on the 300 block of Paul Pettit Road reported to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office they chased a suspect and lost him after he was caught stealing from a vehicle.
Deputies spoke with victims of the home who stated that on Sunday, before midnight, their dogs began to bark. They saw a suspect on the driver’s side of the vehicle. The only description given was the person was short. Two of the victims chased after the suspect when they ran off but could not catch up.
A radio, two amps, and a chainsaw were missing from the vehicle. The vehicle was reportedly left unlocked, so there was no forced entry.
