The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development reported today that Greene County’s unemployment rate in October was 4.0 percent, up from 3.4 percent in September.
Greene County’s rate a year ago was 3.4 percent.
The unemployment rate for October 2022 increased in all 95 Tennessee counties. A total of 89 counties had rates below 5 percent, while six counties had rates at or above 5 percent.
Williamson County had the lowest unemployment rate at 2.4 percent, while Bledsoe County had the state’s highest unemployment rate at 5.4 percent.
The state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for October was 3.5 percent, up slightly from 3.4 percent in September.
