A North Carolina man was pronounced dead at the scene of an accident on Thursday which was caused by a medical episode.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says that Larry Chandler, age 77, of North Carolina, was driving on Birds Bridge Road when he suffered a medical episode, cross the center line, and ran off the side of the road. Chandler’s truck struck a tree, but his passenger was not injured.
It’s believed that the medical episode was the cause of the crash.
