Police were called to the scene of a possible public intoxication Saturday evening, in the 1300 block of Tusculum Boulevard.
Officers arrived and found the male sitting in the drivers seat of a truck. He identified himself as Austin Cutshaw, of Chuckey. According to the report, officers noticed Cutshaw had bloodshot eyes, pinpoint pupils, and slurred speech.
While attempting to perform field sobriety tests, a pill bottle fell from his person. He allegedly admitted it contained 1 oxycodone pill and 4 alprazolam pills. He said he had a prescription for both medications but was unable to provide it. A records check showed he had two previous convictions for Driving Under the Influence and his license had been revoked. He also allegedly admitted that he is currently out on bond for another DUI charge in Washington County.
He was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence 3rd offense, Possession of schedule 2 drugs, Possession of schedule 4 drug, Driving on a Revoked License, and financial responsibility law.
