Deputies responded to arson around midnight today on the 100 block of Prairie Lane.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office spoke with the complainant, who said she heard a loud thud and saw smoke in the house. Once the woman ran outside she saw fire coming from underneath the residence. She and her husband extinguished the flames with water before deputies arrived.
Video footage is reportedly available that shows a female walking in the direction of the residence. Another video shows the same female walking away from the residence with two men. The report states once the fire department arrived all three individuals were caught on camera running from the area.
No suspects were known at the time of the report. Fire Investigator Bryan Shelton and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation also responded to the scene.
