Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies and Drug Enforcement Administration Agents made arrests on federal indictments for conspiracy to distribute large amounts of methamphetamine.
36-year-old Amanda Stanton Fellers of Chuckey, was arrested Wednesday. 46-year-old Michael Hackler of Jonesborough, who was already in the Washington County Detention Center, was also charged. Deputies previously arrested Hackler for a string of motor vehicle thefts. Identities of the others indicted will be released, as the investigation is ongoing.
According to a press release, deputies and DEA agents served search and arrest warrants Wednesday afternoon. Fellers was picked up in the 300 block of Maple Swamp Road. She was transported to the Washington County Detention Center and was due in federal court in Greeneville today.
Additional arrests are pending.
