A Greeneville woman was arrested on Monday after trying to evade the Greeneville Police Department.
According to the report, a woman identified as Meghan Tolliver was seen sitting under a carport on the 300 block of Cherry Street. Tolliver was known to have a Violation of Probation Warrant so the officer approached her. Tolliver reportedly jumped up and ran off but the officer caught up to her in the backyard of a residence and she gave up. She was taken into custody for her active warrant.
Tolliver admitted to having Marijuana in her shirt. She was charged with Simple Possession/Casual Exchange and Evading Arrest and was transported to the Greene County Jail.
