A truck fire was reported at a Culbertson Road residence on Thursday afternoon.
The victim told the Greene County Sheriff’s Department he used his Chevrolet truck to go pick up a camper. When he got back home, the victim parked the camper beside his building and turned the truck off. At that point, the truck caught on fire. The victim unhooked the truck from the camper and pushed it down his driveway before the vehicle became fully engulfed.
The victim believes the fire was caused by the truck’s transmission. A tool box containing a variety of tools and a cell phone were inside the vehicle. The truck was valued at $8,000, according to the report.
