WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS CANCELLED
Some light snow showers may continue through daybreak, but little
to no additional accumulation is expected. Thus, will go ahead and
cancel the winter weather advisory early.
December 18th
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Southeast Greene County from 3 AM this morning until 7 AM Tuesday.
Snow is expected mainly this afternoon and evening. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are possible above 3,000 feet, with 4 to 6 inches above 5,000 feet. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches above 2,000 feet is expected with winds gusting as high as 50 mph.
Blowing snow may result in reduced visibility and very dangerous driving conditions. Plan on slippery roads. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
Snow is expected mainly in the higher elevations. However, less than half an inch is possible in the lower elevations, mostly northeast of the Morristown area in the Tennessee valley.
