A woman from the 2500 block of Bright Hope Road reported a possible scam Friday.
According to a report from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, the woman was contacted by the alleged suspect, who was named in the report, and was told he worked for Publishers Clearing House. He told the victim she won a new 2023 Silverado and $1.5M.
The suspect said the victim would need to put $100 on a prepaid card and send a picture of it. The victim reportedly did send him the card information, as well as her social security information, date of birth, and physical address. No further information was provided on the report.
