The Greene County Sheriff’s Department received two reports recently of packages stolen from residences.
A McMillian Road man reported Saturday he had a package delivered to his house containing around $245 worth of clothing on Friday. The package was dropped off at his mailbox around 4:15 PM. When he returned home about two hours later, it was gone.
A Mary Lamons Road woman reported she had not been out of the house since November 22, due to having Covid. She said several packages had been delivered to her home. She went to check her mail on Saturday to retrieve the packages, but none of them were there. Several pieces of mail were scattered on the ground and looked to have been run over by a vehicle. She was unsure if she had any regular mail missing. The items stolen totaled around $150.
