Former Greene County Mayor Roger D. Jones passed away Saturday afternoon in Lenoir City, TN, where he had resided since retirement. He was 67.
Jones was a retired teacher, coach, and principal from the Greene County School System. He had previously served as a County Commissioner and as a Greene County Board of Education member.
Visitation will be held at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home Wednesday, December 6, from 3-7 PM, with the funeral service following at 7:00 PM. The graveside service will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at Sunrise Baptist Church Cemetery in Bulls Gap.
