Due to a large, complicated water main break at the intersection of Cutler and Church Street, the Greene County Courthouse Annex will close at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 19, 2023.
County Mayor Kevin Morrison said he was contacted by the Greeneville Water Commission around 7:30 this morning and was told the break would leave the annex without water for several hours. However, due to the complicated mess of the break, pipe sizes, and multiple valves at the intersection, it appears the water is going to be off longer than law will allow to operate a public access facility without adequate functioning restroom facilities.
The Courthouse Annex will reopen Friday at 8:00 AM.
