Winds become gusty late tonight across our high terrain areas as a weather system approaches. A Wind Advisory is in effect tomorrow morning from 4 AM to 4 PM in the afternoon for Southeast Greene County.
According to the National Weather Service in Morristown, south winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph are expected in the EAST TN Mountains and foothills. The highest peaks, such as Cove Mountain, will see gusts up to 65 mph.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle and secure outdoor objects.
