A structure fire was reported Friday on Rheatown Road around 5:30 AM.
Once deputies arrived they spoke with the victim who stated he was watching TV when his smoke alarms went off. He said he went to investigate and saw smoke coming from the back bedroom area.
According to the report, the victim took a cover off his furnace in the mobile home and saw smoke and flames coming from it. The victim was able to grab a fire extinguisher and sprayed the flames.
The Limestone Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene and sprayed water on any remaining flames and cleared the scene. No injuries were listed in the report.
