The remains of dogs were found after a structure fire was put out on Rambo Road Monday.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded after 9 AM and spoke with the victim who said he saw flames and smoke and immediately called 911. Camp Creek, Tusculum, and the Sunnyside Fire Department responded and put out the fire located within a shed.
According to the report, someone was living in the shed and there were numerous dogs and puppies inside at the time of the fire. Once the fire was put out, the remains of dogs and puppies were located. No foul play is suspected.
The report states there was a heater running inside the shed and is believed to be the cause of the fire. The structure was a total loss and the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
