Town of Greeneville Public Works employees Matt Gosnell and Kevin Freudenberger were recognized Tuesday during the City Council meeting for the efforts during the fire at the Landfill in November.
HR Director Patsy Fuller says Matt and Kevin responded without hesitation to the fire and assisted in efforts to contain it.
Public Works Assistant Director, Scott Keith, stated, “They are part of a select group of employees that possess the skill and experience to work safely on the demolition site. Kevin and Matt spent several hours working with the fire department to identify the area involved in the fire and working to contain it. Their skills were instrumental in bringing the situation under control, and they continued to respond throughout the weekend to keep the situation safe.”
