An Afton man was arrested Monday after stabbing someone on Graceland Lane.
Deputies responded to Aggravated Assault around 9 PM and spoke with witnesses who stated the suspect, Gavin Johns, was pinning the victim against a post of the home with a kitchen knife. According to the report, a witness attempted to stop the assault but was punched in the head multiple times in the process. Another witness had to step in and struck the suspect until he fell to the ground in attempt to get him off the victim.
The victim, who was reportedly stabbed in the stomach, was not able to speak with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department due to the severity of the wound. Johns was charged with Aggravated Domestic Assault and Simple Assault and was transported to the Detention Center.
