The Mosheim Police Department announced in a press release that a man was arrested after the department received an Operation Gatekeeper alert of a stolen license plate.
Officers located the vehicle at McDonald’s on West Andrew Johnson Highway. The driver was identified as Andy Seaton. Seaton also had an active violation of probation warrant for his arrest. The GMC Envoy in his possession was reported stolen from Hawkins County. The registration he was using was reportedly stolen from Cocke County.
Nearly 2 grams of meth were found in the vehicle, along with a set of digital scales, and a registration plate reported stolen from Jefferson County.
Seaton was taken into custody and charged with failure to appear, possession of drug paraphernalia, three counts of possession of stolen property, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of methamphetamine, and driving on a revoked license 2nd offense.
