Officers responded to the 1000 block of West Andrew Johnson Highway Thursday on the report of embezzlement at Lee’s Food Mart.
The supervisor at the gas station spoke with officers and stated an employee, Tony Sutton, allegedly stole lottery tickets on August 8th and August 30th. Sutton was found to have cashed out almost $2,000 worth of tickets during his night shift.
A manager spoke with him and he stated he would pay the money back, but Sutton has not returned to work since his last shift on August 30th, according to the report.. He is believed to be staying in South Carolina.
