Breaking and entering was reported at a family restaurant around 1:30 AM Tuesday morning and the suspect reportedly stole at least $3,000 in cash.
According to the report from the Greeneville Police Department, officers responded to the 3000 block of West Andrew Johnson Highway and secured the area. No one was found on the scene but the complainant advised the suspect was caught on camera and broke in. The suspect fled before the arrival of officers.
The owner discovered a minimum of at least $3,000 was stolen. Damage was done to a window that was reportedly unlocked. Officers believe the window was how the suspect made it inside the building. No suspects were named in the report.
